Special and single-purpose machines MediCom

MediCom's industrial laser division has been engaged in the production and development of lasers and laser stations for more than 30 years, as well as the design and construction of single-purpose machines using laser.

MediCom's single-purpose laser system solutions are usually based on the S type series laser heads, eventually a modification of one of the standard laser station models.

The delivered solutions have a common attribute - taking into account the customer's requirements for a specific application requiring an individual approach to solving a given task, when the solution using a universal station no longer suits.

The following presented applications are only a narrow selection of implemented projects, which is designed primarily to demonstrate the possibilities of using MediCom lasers.

Basic common characteristics of delivered solutions of single-purpose systems MediCom

User’s requirements and offered solutions:

RequirementSolution
Exact location of the markingSpecial fixtures
SMED type interchangeable fixtures
Specific or atypical shape of the part and with it associated handling and fixation/insertionLinear movement of the part, complete rotation or partial rotation of the part
Checking of the part fixation and its propertiesVisual inspection by camera system
Identification of the part before performing the operation based on its designation

Bar code readers

Data matrix 2D code readers

RFID readers/programmers

Combining several operations into one system, where in addition to the actual action of the laser, other activities are performed, such as checking the functionality of the part, sorting or degrading defective parts, demagnetization of the part, etc.Implementation of the relevant operation as part of the delivered solution
Achieving the speed of operation in connection with the line cycle

Marking process optimization

Duplicating markers or other process heads

Marking on the fly

Increasing equipment productivity through complete or at least partial automation of the laser marking process (welding, cutting, ...)

Automatic pick & place manipulators

Feeds, automatic parts magazines, etc.

Reduction of the number of employees operating the machineIt is possible, for example, by increasing the storage capacity of the automated workplace, enabling longer continuous operation of the machine
Refurbishing of an obsolete laser workplaceLaser replacement
Feeder overhaul
Control system innovation

Project realization:

We implement the given project from the initial design of the solution to production, incl. revival, engagement and programming. As a primary laser company, we always guarantee the choice of the optimal type and configuration of the laser suitable for the given application and trouble-free subsequent cooperation with the entire machine. For the construction of our machines, we use structural electromechanical and automation components from the world's leading manufacturers of automation technology.
